GABRIELLA SANTANA

Growing up in São Paulo, pixação has always been part of my visual world. It’s a marginalized aesthetic that carries a lot of strength, identity, and history. My art connects with this. 

After moving to Barcelona, I began exploring different ways of understanding my artistic identity, experimenting with new ideas, mediums, and ways of working.

I’ve been tattooing professionally for the past 9 years. Alongside tattooing, my practice includes graffiti, photography, painting, and sculpture — different ways of documenting, expressing, and giving form to my ideas.

Over time, these practices have led to exhibitions, events, interviews, brand collaborations, print features, and projects with organizations in Brazil and Barcelona. They have also kept me connected to the worlds of skateboarding and art.

Everything I put into the world is made with love. I hope it creates a connection beyond capitalism, patriarchy, and the systems that shape our lives.
